The eSafe Antimicrobial Treatment bonds at a molecular level to surfaces, providing long lasting, durable antimicrobial protection unlike anything currently on the market.

STEP 1

Apply to any surface – porous or non-porous – and E-Safe antimicrobial solution forms a uniform, strongly-bonded monolayer with the treated material.

STEP 2

The spear-like molecular chain with a silane-based coating will anchor to almost any surface.

STEP 3

Microbes are drawn to the coating, due to a positive nitrogen charge at the base of the coating. Once the microbe comes in contact with the coating, it causes a physical disruption of the microbial surface, in contrast to a leaching chemical disruption from a non-poymer solution which lasts briefly after the initial application. The result is the microbe is impaled, and the cell wall and membrane are ruptured, killing it instantly.

eSafe’s Antimicrobial Treatment creates an invisible, odourless, electrically charged coating which bonds to the applied surface. Once dry, the formulation creates a long-lasting, protective, anti-bacterial shield that prevents new microbial contamination for 30 days.

Traditional disinfectants are designed to pass through the cell wall and attempt to poison the microbe, altering the microbe’s DNA. This may lead to mutation and resistant superbugs. These disinfectants are temporary and work while the surface is wet. Once surface is dry, contamination occurs when the surface is touched again.

In a study of product performance in a healthcare setting, eSafe’s Antimicrobial Treatment was tested in a U.S. hospital which has over 350 beds and accommodates more than 80 patients simultaneously. The hospital also has one of the largest trauma facilities in the country. The hospital has 17,000 annual admissions, 90,000 annual inpatient stays, 13,000 annual surgeries and 66,000 annual visits to the emergency room.

Multiple surfaces on three floors were treated in the hospital with eSafe’s Antimicrobial Treatment. Afterwards, 170,000 microbes were then placed on the treated surfaces and upon establishing the baseline count, an independent lab technician conducted swab tests every 15 days over a period of 105 days (15 weeks) in each of the three rooms. The summary details of the study in the data above shows that the eSafe coating had an average of 99.83% effectiveness in killing pathogens for a minimum of up to 45 days.
